Last Friday we had our monthly goal setting workshop in the Inner Circle and many members had personal/self care goals as their primary goal -- and I LOVE THIS.
Sometimes it's easy to focus on business so much that we let the self care go a little bit. We let someone slip past a boundary we set. We skip going to the gym once...then again...and then when was the last time I went?
Life happens, business happens, and this sometimes happens, but taking a moment to reflect and recalibrate can work wonders.
So this week, take a minute, and consider how you want to set yourself up for success in 2024 -- is it your health? The health of your business? Getting something organized?
Choose just one thing to recalibrate and start slow. Just go bit by bit. Build it back up, and don't judge yourself!

📈 Performance
Strategies to avoid end-of-year burnout focus on self-care and setting boundaries, emphasizing the importance of managing both physical and mental energy.
Key Insights:
Identify Your Energy Sources: Physical and mental inputs significantly impact energy levels. For example, maintain physical energy by setting non-negotiables for sleep and exercise, and choose energizing foods. Enhance emotional and mental energy through positive self-talk and eliminating negative mental habits.
Establish Boundaries: Internal and external boundaries are vital. For instance, set a bedtime for adequate rest and limit nighttime social media use. Communicate clear boundaries with your team, such as not taking new projects without delegating current ones.
Create a Self-Care Protocol: Personalize your daily routine to support all energy aspects. Establish morning and evening routines like meditation or relaxation activities. Use reminders or motivational messages to maintain focus and positivity during the day.

The holidays are upon us (almost) and it’s a great time to test out this “vacation mode” productivity strategy. In fact, you can use it year-round, but at a time where many of our brains are starting to shut down in preparation for holidays, this is a great time to trial this strategy!
A "vacation mode" mindset can significantly improve your prioritization skills, utilizing the urgency and efficiency often experienced before taking time off.
Key Insights:
Implement a 'Fake Vacation': Create a sense of urgency to boost productivity by setting artificial deadlines, like completing tasks by 6 PM, to focus and work more efficiently.
Commit to the Process: Treat these artificial deadlines with the same seriousness as real vacation plans by adhering strictly to set work hours or days, simulating the effect of being on vacation.
Plan Ahead: Schedule your work as if preparing for an actual vacation. Set specific days or weeks to operate under 'vacation mode' rules, planning tasks to ensure completion within the set timeframe.
Start Small and Scale Up: Introduce 'vacation mode' gradually into your routine. Begin with short breaks or earlier end times for your workday, then extend these periods to create longer spans of focused work time.

The “Motor Framework” or “MTR Framework” is a new work approach for 2024, focusing on creativity and productivity, which emphasizes movement, thought, and rest. This shift from traditional work patterns aims to foster more innovative thinking.
“Allow me to introduce you to a new operating system, something I call ‘the MTR framework,’ or motor framework. MTR is the human activity centered around movement, thought, and rest to spark generative thinking, so that when we return to the work at hand, we are more energized, imaginative, and productive.”

I’ve included this article because regardless of whether you’re in the PPC (pay per click) industry. The article is actually about ChatGPT and content. Content is something that all business owners need to care about, regardless of industry. If you’re a writer, all the more so, but even if you’re not. This article is important.
ChatGPT, launched a year ago, has significantly impacted PPC marketing by offering advanced text generation and analytical capabilities. Its evolution, including GPT-4 and various new features, has transformed content creation and data analysis in digital marketing.
