Recently, Dr. Joseph Swope of The Creativity Algorithm podcast asked me how his listeners could inject more creativity into their lives. My response was that creativity, to be effective, must be a regular element of our daily lives. I compared it to the training necessary to run a marathon. To successfully complete the 26.2-mile distance, regular and planned workouts are not only essential, they are an integral part of one’s ultimate achievement in this event. By the same token, our creative success is dependent on our embrace of a regular and systematic “training program” that happens every day. Every. Single. Day.
⚙️ Optimization
Oh, the irony. But the irony for business owners is that not only are they doing this to employees…they’re sometimes solopreneurs doing it to…themselves! AI is supposed to skyrocket productivity, right? What’s happening here?
These tools are indeed revolutionary…but that doesn’t mean they aren’t tools. Meaning that just like any other tool, we need periods of adjustment, implementation, onboarding, and sometimes discovering we have chosen the wrong one. Despite their revolutionary nature, it doesn’t bypass how the human brain works.
I gave a webinar yesterday, The Perfect Week Blueprint (replay still available free until Sunday night) where I discussed this very fact among other things. It is important that for any change we make, we ensure we’re working WITH the human brain and not against it.

“Our research shows that introducing new technologies into outdated work models and systems is failing to unlock the full expected productivity value of AI,” Kelly Monahan, managing director of The Upwork Research Institute, wrote in a statement.
The push for employees to use AI to boost productivity is affecting their well-being. About 71% of full-time staffers are burnt out, and 65% are struggling to meet their employers’ productivity demands, according to the report. Due to higher workloads and exhaustion, one in three full-time employees say they will likely quit their jobs in the next six months.
⏲️ Time Management
This is not a “build your schedule” video, but as a business owner, you’re almost certainly putting out some kind of social media. And most likely you have either tried to incorporate AI or even just scheduling tools with varying degrees of success.
Should you fully automate your social media this way…honestly, probably not. BUT it doesn’t mean you can’t use pieces of this to make your life a lot easier. Hope it helps!
💻 Tools & Technology
Llama is the new kid on the block, so how does it stack up? I’ve read a few reviews and this is the one I liked the most. It gave several different prompt examples and the chat bots’ responses. Below is the shortest but possibly least interesting excerpt just to give you an idea of the setup of the article. It covers everything from storytelling to medical diagnoses and is set up really well. Definitely check it out if you are curious how Llama stacks up.
For the first challenge, we’re playing on AI’s ability to understand complex wordplay. I’ve given each model a word riddles These require vocabulary, logic, and lateral thinking. I’ve asked each model to solve two wordplay problems:
The prompt: “Find a 7-letter word that reads the same backward as forward, and is also a common English word. What is it?”
ChatGPT (GPT-4o): Racecar
Gemini (Gemini Pro 1.5): Level
Claude (Sonnet 3.5): Racecar
Llama (Llama 3.1 405b): Deified
Winner: I’m splitting this one between ChatGPT and Claude for getting the correct length word and hitting the common word factor.

Let me start by saying I really love Perplexity these days but it sounds like there may be a new player in this game. I almost feel bad for Google at this point. But let’s get to it. Is SearchGPT a real rival? Let’s look at a couple of excerpts:
It’s the start of what could become a meaningful threat to Google, which has rushed to bake in AI features across its search engine, fearing that users will flock to competing products that offer the tools first. It also puts OpenAI in more direct competition with the startup Perplexity, which bills itself as an AI “answer” engine. Perplexity has recently come under criticism for an AI summaries feature that publishers claimed was directly ripping off their work. […]
“SearchGPT is designed to help users connect with publishers by prominently citing and linking to them in searches,” according to OpenAI’s blog post. “Responses have clear, in-line, named attribution and links so users know where information is coming from and can quickly engage with even more results in a sidebar with source links.”

My revamped systems helped me a lot and I had high energy and productivity for most of the week.
I managed a lot this week. Setting up ThriveCart takes longer than expected but I made good progress.
My sleep has been good in the past three weeks. Buying that Fitbit was a great decision. Now I know that I'm awake for around 60 min each night. So if I want to get 8 hours of sleep I need to be in bed for 9 hours.
