Today’s Productivity Stack: Heather O’Connor
This week's Productivity Stack comes from Heather O’Connor who not only made it through a high-conflict divorce as a stay-at-home mom but also became an attorney and grew a thriving law practice. Her story is an absolute inspiration.
“I’m going to be a lawyer!” Heather O’Connor wasn’t a child when she made that pronouncement. She was in the middle of a high-conflict divorce, a stay-at-home mom of three who depended on skating lessons for a little income.
Her life prior to that was all about competitive figure skating, and she didn’t have a college education. Yet, against so many odds, she became an attorney and built a successful family law practice that is grounded on empathy for the emotional struggles that come with difficult divorce and custody battles.
Read on to learn about her challenges starting this new phase of her life and the systems, people, and tools that have helped her create a business with a heart for both its clients and employees.
Check out the challenges she faced, her detailed solutions, and swipe her Productivity Stack in our interview case study.

Recently, I read The Big Leap for my book club and I’ll be honest — I found the book…not good. Until I read the Shortform guide.
Here’s the deal:
The book itself was overly “woo” for me — I like science and action.
The Shortform guide even brought in info from other books (which I have added to my reading list) that were relevant to The Big Leap.
Those books seem better for my brain.
I also got a worksheet that allowed me to see how what I previously thought was just woo, could actually be actionable — and I did the exercises and it absolutely helped.
This is the first time I 100% preferred a guide like this to the book. I’m hooked.
